The Sixth Annual Executive Women’s Forum
As the CEO of an executive search firm in the information security industry, the past twenty years have provided me with a unique perspective of the industry’s progression. Although information security, like information technology in general, is historically male-dominated, the number of women working in security-related positions is steadily growing. I am working closely with a significant number of women who now hold positions of influence within the government and corporate communities. These women have voiced a desire for an opportunity to meet and network with other women in security, to exchange advice, information and experiences in order to progress in their chosen careers.
To satisfy this desire, in 2003 I organized the first-ever Executive Women’s Forum on Information Security for leaders in information security, risk management and privacy.
The First Annual Executive Women’s Forum was held at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Sanibel Island, Florida and was a smash success!
In 2004 our community of EWF attendees grew to over 175 women who gathered at the Registry Resort in Naples, Florida. The women participated in an open and honest exchange of ideas on topics including strategic smart sourcing, privacy, technical issues and solution approaches and the impact of future technologies. Executive leadership teams of CIO’s, CSO’s and CPO’s shared best practices and everyone participated in an executive coaching session.
In 2005 the EWF grew to over 190 women. The 3rd Annual Executive Women’s Forum was held at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa in Phoenix, AZ.
In 2006 the EWF grew to over 200 women. The 4th Annual EWF was held at the Radisson Fort McDowell Resort in Fountain Hills, AZ.
The 2007 Executive Women’s Forum was held at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ from September 19 – 21, 2007.
The 2008 Executive Women’s Forum will be held at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa in Phoenix, AZ. From September 16-18, 2008.
I highly recommend that not only do you join us for the conference, but that you come early or stay the weekend and enjoy the lush spa facilities
EWF participants include CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, CPOs and heads of R&D from the world’s largest corporations, hottest new start-ups, academia and the government.
The Executive Women’s Forum has quickly become the de facto venue for top level female executives to gather and network.
